At the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ eveny for the children held at the town hall in New Dlehi on Friday, PM Narendra Modi persuaded the young minds whom he called as his ‘friends’ to always keep the student in them alive so that learning never stops in life. He also answered questions from several students who have come from across the country on a variety of topics inlcuding importance of self-confidence, concentration, aspects relating to peer pressure and effective time management.

At the interaction with students event held in New Delhi, PM Narendra Modi said, “You are not talking to the Prime Minister of India, you are talking to a friend.” His statments created a direct contact with the students who then sincerely shared their thoughts with the PM and also asked questions on a variety of topics including that of examination stress and peer pressure.

Concentration cannot be learnt, it is inherent, everybody concentrates
The PM said that concentration in studies is not a thing which can be specifically learnt by students or anybody but it every person in his daily life concentrates on one or the other things during the day.
Self Confidence and Giving self Challenge could do wonders
The PM further reiterated that in addition to right skills and means, students also need self-confidence which is gained by challenging ourselves and working hard. Thus he meant that hard work and self challenge are infact key to sucess. He said that we should always think of bettering ourselves.

Practice Yoga – A wonderful medium to enhance concentration
Speaking about enhancing concentration, the PM said that yoga was a wonderful medium to do so. He advised the students to practice yoga asanas of their choice.

He also requested the teachers to connect not just with the students, but also indulge in their social circle to know them better. “In our society teachers are like family members. Such a spirit was more common earlier and we have to reignite this spirit further today”, he added.
