Digital Detox Is the Right Approach

Adamya Arvind

I know it is very difficult to be away from mobile phones but for our good will we have to sacrifice mobile phones. I’ll not blame Scientists or mobile companies because scientists are inventing new gadgets to use them not to misuse it and all game making companies make games for our entertainment but we misuse it so we can’t blame anyone for our problems related to mobile addiction. Hence, we have to work into this problem and solve it. And it is by digital detox.

Notably, there is an urgent need to address the issue of mobile addiction among children before it becomes an alarming situation in India. There are parents who wish to do a lot for their children but they are failing to get their children on the right track because their children might be addicted to mobile phone.

There are media reports that a kid had died of heart stroke after playing PUBG continuously for six hours. This is the height of addiction. Blue Whale, PUBG, Mili Militia and games like these attract children a lot keep them engaged for long hours when they should have been doing something else, either studying or playing outside or doing some recreational work.

A Request to PM Modi

We as responsible media persons urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take stringent steps to control this in India. I am sure that crores of parents would take a huge sign of relief. In order to suggest ways to check the spread of mobile addiction we invite suggestions from the parents, intelligentsia and all the people of India to suggest how they have controlled their children or how children can be saved from being glued to the small screen.
