Eating small amount of nuts daily, specially tree nuts, may decrease the risk of Cardiovascular disease among people with type 2 diabetes, linked with a more risk of high cholesterol, heart disease and stroke, according to researchers, including one of Indian origin.

Tree nuts like walnuts, cashews, almonds, pistachios, Brazil nuts, pecans, hazelnuts and pine nuts were found to be strongly connected with lessening risk of coronary events, cardiac death and total mortality compared with peanuts.
