Not many people would have imagined that obesity and ability to smell are interconnected. But interestingly, in a study, a relation have been found by a researchers team from the University of Otago in New Zealand. For the study purpose, a sample of around 1500 individuals were assembled.

According to a report in the Medical News Daily, Dr. Mei Peng, the Lead author of the he study stated that after the compilation of evidences, it was found there is a strong link between a person’s body weight and his ability to smell. It means the better a person’s ability to smell, the more possibility of the person is to be slim or vice versa.
