Sleeping more than the recommended six to eight hours per night for adults could lead to more risk of early death and cardiovascular disease, as per a new study published in the European Heart Journal.
The study stated that sleep is the important requirement of human health and people spend about third of their total day hours in sleeping. This sleeping pattern is being regarded as the important lifestyle behavior that can influence cardiovascular disease and mortality rate.
Sleep deprivation could increase the chances of cardiovascular outcomes by reduction in energy expenditure, up-regulation of appetite and change in glucose metabolism.
