UP CM Adityanath wants question papers to be set easy in order to put check on students skipping board exams. Over 10 lakh students had skipped board exams this year which is double the number of students failing to appear for the exam in 2017.

In order to deal with the growing rejection of exams by students in Uttar Pradesh, the chief minister of the state has reportedly said that he thinks that the exams should be made simpler or it could be understood as to make the questions papers easy. Notably, over 10 lakh students have skipped the examinations recently when over 66 lakh had enrolled for the examination.
It is learnt that the number of students who have skipped the examination has doubled since last year when around 5 lakh students had skipped the board examinations.
In order to address the problem of seemingly alienation among children with respect to examinations, the UP CM Yogi Adityanath has asked the board to set such a question paper which is easy for the students. His belief is that the students had not appeared for the examination due to fear that the examination might be tough.
On the other hand, experts believe that the sharp rise in the number of students skipping the exams is because of the steps taken by CM Yogi to curb education mafia in UP. It is said that the mafia had engaged in promoting use of unfair means.
The CM while speaking at the release of the translation of book ‘Exam Warriors’ written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reportedly said that the rise in dropout outs is because of tight screening, anti-copying measures and checks introduced to make the examinations cheating free exams. He has also reportedly said that the in order to take a further step he would think on making the exams simpler.
