Update February 18, 2018 4:00PM IST: Voters turnout has reached 74 per cent till 4PM.
Polling for the assembly elections on 59 seats in Tripura began on Sunday. Till now there were no reports of any mishap and polling remain reportedly peaceful till report last came in.
Voter Turnout for the Polling in Tripura remained around 23 per cent and is expected to shoot up as the day progresses.
Voting percentage
Till 1 PM, the voters turn out shot up to 46 per cent.
As many as 25 lakh voters will be deciding the fate of Tripura today as the state goes to assembly polls on Sunday. As per reports the polling percentage in the first two hours remained around 11 per cent and it started to rise as the day progressed.
