The Modi cabinet on Friday cleared the Triple Talaq bill which would make instant Talak divorce a criminal offence in India. Now, the Triple Talaq Bill is now set to be introduced in the Parliament and post discussion and approval by the legislative members and approval by the President, the bill would be a law.

Meanwhile, those against the Triple Talaq offence initiative by the government have reacted harshly maintaining that this offends their personal laws.
