Ten Maoists killed, one policemen dead in gunfight along Chattisgarh-Telangana border

Ten guerrilla were killed in a gunfight with police in Telangana on Friday. It is reportedly known that there were six women among the Maoists who were killed in the gunbattle. It is also learnt that three of the high ranked officials of the anti-Maoist force were also injured. There have been reports that Communist Party of India – Maoist’s top leader Haribhushan or aka Jagan was among the guerrilla killed by the police.
Souces say that it is the first major accomplishment by the force since the formation of the state of Telangana in the year 2014.
The gunfight ensued between the police and the Maoists at Venkatapuram village in Tadapalagutta-Pujarikanker area which lies on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border.
