Following protests by students on the paper leak and alleged irregularities in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination, the government has ordered investigation of the case with the CBI. Notably, students across the country have been launching protests in this matter from February 27 and there were massive protests against the SSC paper being leaked. Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal had also demanded CBI inquiry into case. Finally, on Monday, the government agreed to hand over the case to the CBI for probe.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has told ANI, “We have accepted demands of protesting candidates and have given orders for CBI inquiry, protest should now stop.” As per the demands of protesting students, the matter has been ordered to be investigated by the CBI. However, students performing outside the Staff Selection Commission have reportedly denied to withdraw protest until a written confirmation is received by them.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, MP Meenakshi Lekhi and BJP leader Manoj Tiwari have also reportedly appealed to the students to withdraw the agitation statting that the government has accepted the demands of demonstrating students and have ordered CBI probe into the matter.
Notably, the protest by the students has also been reportedly backed by Anna Hazare who had also met the agitating students recently.
On the other hand, SSC has also assured students that the matter would be probed and if anyone is found guilty then proper and strict action would be taken.
Notably, students have been alleging that the SSC exam paper had leaked on the social media and the mathematics paper’s screenshot had went viral on social media and so the paper was stopped within 15 minutes on February 21.
