The 15-year old took up the sport in 2014 and started competing a year later. 

Vihan, one of the youngest players of India was close to winning gold in the men’s double trap shooting event at the Asian Games and nearly missed it. He had to content with Silver. His journey to Silver at Asian Games was not a cakewalk. The yound man had tried his luck in cricket and badminton initially, but was persuaded by his father to take up shooting. It was a dream come true for Vihan as he fulfilled his father’s dream and the wishes of Indians. 

Shardul Vihan had the best qualifying score.
