Largest public sector bank State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications for the recruitment of over 9000 Junior Associates in the Customer Support and Sales department. The Bank’s staff union has also welcomed the decision by the bank as there has been immense pressure on the existing employees due to recent merger of SBBJ and other public sector banks into SBI.

The move has been reportedly taken in order to boost selling of financial products such as mutual funds, insurance products and streamlining bank’s business. The move has also been taken in order to cater to the large number of new customers who have now become SBI customers after the merger of SBBJ and other major banks.

SBI Junior Associates vacancy SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selection process will consist of on-line test (preliminary & main examination) and test of specified opted local language.

Phase-I : Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

SBI Junior Associates vacancy Wait List:
A wait list of upto 50% of vacancies (State-category wise) will be maintained.
Candidates will be released from this waitlist on quarterly basis against nonjoining and resignation out of the current batch only, subject to the candidates securing minimum qualifying marks as may be stipulated by the Bank for selection. This wait list will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of final result

The preliminary examination will be held in the month of March/April 2018 (Tentatively)
