Important decisions taken during the Rajasthan state cabinet meeting held on Tuesday

Now the native residents of Rajasthan who are in jail outside the state during the Emergency will also be given pension and allowances under these rules.

Jaipur, Dec 12: Persons who remained in the jails due to political and social reasons in the state during Emergency will now be known as Fighters of Democracy. In the meeting of the state Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday, ‘The Pension to Rajasthan MISA and DIR Prisoners Pension Rules 2008’.

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Rajendra Rathore informed media about the decisions taken in the meeting of the Cabinet that Rajasthan MISA and DIR. The prisoners will be amended in the pension rule, 2008 and will be named राजस्थान लोकतन्त्र रक्षक सम्मान निधि नियम, 2008. Now the native residents of Rajasthan who were in jail outside the state during the Emergency will also be given pension and allowances under these rules. Till now, only the residents of the Rajasthan, who were locked up, were entitled to pension and allowances.

At the same time during the Emergency for the pension application, MISA and DIR prisoners had to take the certificate from the jail superintendent or the district superintendent of police. Now after the amendment provision has been made that in case of non-availability of records in the jail and police stations, the affidavit for MISA pension and application of the existing or former legislator or MP from the respective district on the basis of certificate of two affiliates certified can be done.

Under the amendment, one month prison prisoner, who was not an adult at that time, would also be entitled to pension and allowances. Only those in jail who had been in jail till then got a pension, which was then adult.

Amendment to the Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995

The cattle-keepers and buyers outside the state will also be allowed to export male cattle for 2 years and above for agriculture and reproduction purposes.

The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs said also that the state cabinet also approved the draft amendment in Rajasthan Bovine Animal (Prohibition of slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration or Export) Act, 1995. This amendment bill will be sent to the President’s for permission before being placed before the state assembly. After the amendment, the buyers of the state and the buyers outside the state will be allowed to send the male cattle of 2 years and above for agricultural and reproduction purposes. This permission will initially be available in the case of calves of Nagauri bulls. Earlier, the calves older than 3 years were allowed to be taken out of the state. He clarified that even after the amendment, only those states will be allowed to export, where there is complete ban on the killing of the cow.

 

Four redundant/ irrelevant laws will be repealed

Rathore also told mediapersons that the Cabinet has decided to repeal four irrelevant laws. According to him

  • The Rajasthan Revenue Laws (Extension) Act, 1957.
  • The Rajasthan Holdings Consolidation Operation Validating Act 1960,
  • The Rajasthan Land Revenue (Amendment and Validation) Act, 1966 and
  • The Rajasthan Imposition of Sealing on Agricultural Holdings (Amendment and Validation) Act, 1979 would be repealed.

Five villages freed from land acquisition for DMIC project

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister also informed media that the Cabinet has approved the first phase under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project for the development of Phase I (A) of Phase-1 (A) of Khankheda-Bhiwadi-Nimrana Investment Region, out of 1425.36 hectares of ten villages acquired for the development of five villages, namely Jonayan Kharkhard, decided to release about 893.06 hectares of land from Gwalkota, Shahjahanpur, Babad and Chobara. The amount of compensation for the acquisition of this land was about 30 million rupees per hectare.

In this way, for the acquisition of land in these five villages, a total of Rs. 2785.77 crore was paid as compensation amount. In place of these villages, four other villages in Palwa, Birod, Mirzapur and Lamchpur will be encroached upon, which has an estimated cost of 915.6 crore rupees.

With this decision, at the expiration of total 1425.36 hectare land, the cost would be 1331.14 crores, which is only 41.5 percent of the current cost. Earlier, the state government has already released Rs. 418.64 crores for the 532.30 hectare land acquisition of Manka village including these four villages. To connect the land of these five villages with National Highway No. 8, it was decided to acquire the required land for the approach road of 60 meter width.

Land allocation granted to GST commissioners in Jodhpur

Rathore also said that the Cabinet also decided to allot 65661 sq mt of land for housing and housing use for GST Commissioner, GST Audit Commissioner and GST Appeal Commissioner in Jodhpur. Apart from this, decision was taken to allocate 6 bigha land to Jodhpur railway link line to connect the railway link line of 19 FAD Army Depot to Banad Railway Station. He informed that after the implementation of the Food Craft Institute as a hotel management institute, the proposal for free allocation of 10,000 sq. m of land for the hostel and other facilities was also approved.

 

Court employees to get earned leave up to 6 months

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs said that the Cabinet also approved the proposal for amendment to Rule 92 (c) (1) of Rajasthan Service Rules, 1951. In accordance with this amendment, the advance earned leave of employees and officers of Civil Courts shall not lapse until 6 months from the date when they were earned.

Dausa and Rajsamand’s colleges would be named after Dr. Ambedkar and Dwarkadhishth

Rathore informed that the Cabinet also approved the name of the State College, Mahuva (Dausa) to be named as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar State College, Mahuva and the State Girls College, Rajsamand, to be named as Dwarkadhish Govt Girl’s College, Rajsamand.

100% direct recruitment of sub-inspectors in Motor Vehicles department

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Rathod said said that the Cabinet approved the proposal for amendment to the Rajasthan Transport Subordinate Services Rules, 1963, regarding direct recruitment through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission.
