Padmaavat film row takes a new turn: Now, Karni Sena demands nationwide ban of the film

Jaipur: The Rajput community group Karni Sena in Rajasthan has held protests in the state and have demanded a nationwide ban on the film which is alleged to have distorted historical facts.

Notably, six states including Rajasthan and Haryana have banned the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film after a row over alleged distortion of facts by the filmmaker in the film depicting the life and history of Rani Padmawati.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker Bhansali has made all the preparations for the release of the film on January 25 in the states where the government has approved its release. The film has been edited and modified as per the suggestions of the Censor board which has proposed the film’s name to be changed to Padmaavat.
