The Supreme Court has rejected plea which has challenged CBFC’s certificate for ‘Padmaavat. The court also dismissed the petitioner’s claim that the film was a threat to law and order. Now post this decision, the way for Padmaavat’s release is clear and it seems that it will be released in the country on January 25.

However, the threat by Karni Sena to burn the theatres which screen the Sanjay Lee Bhansali film is still on and it seems that the local authorities have to deal with the agitation and the ruckus that might be caused by the Karni Sena.

In its order, the apex court has also reportedly commented that it would be responsibility of the administration to maintain peace during the screening of the film.
