No more printing of 2000 rs notes for now as per the government: Sufficient money in circulation

2000 rs notes were introduced by the government after the demonetization took place in November 2016. As of now, there is a lot of money in circulation so government has put a stop on the printing of 2000 rs notes. By value, the 2000 rs notes are in circulation by over 35%.

According reports, the economic affairs secretary Subhash Chandra Garg has tweeted that there is no such plan recently about the production of the 2000 rs notes. The Reserve Bank released Rs2000 notes along with the new 500 rs notes soon after the old 500/1000 rs notes got banned.
