Circular doing rounds on social media is ‘fake’

The Central Board Of Secondary Education has reportedly clarified that a circular regarding weightage of term 1 and term 2 examinations of board exams 2022 is fake. It has also clarified that there has been no change in the weightage pattern of the term exams.

Fake Circular About Reduction in Term 1 Exam Weightage Goes Viral

Notably, an allegedly fake circular has been doing rounds on the social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook and others stating that the board reduced the weightage of the term 1 examination.

CBSE clarifies doubts related to term 1 & 2 exam weightage, 50:50 ratio to be followed

The notice, which appeared to be a lookalike of the original notices issued by the board claimed that the board has reduced the marks weightage of the term 1 exams of class 10 and class 12. The notice claimed that it has been changed to 30:70 rather than the original 50:50 ratio.

‘Fake’ notice a source of anxiety for students and parents

The notice had allegedly put many students and parents in a state of confusion and schools were flooded with queries by them regarding the notice. However, the schools had clarified students and parents that they had not received any such notice by the board.

Now that the board has clarified about the sanctity of the notice, and having termed it as fake, the students and parents of class 10 and class 12 took a huge sigh of relief.

Students feel stressed after reading the fake circular

Speaking to Visheshbaat correspondent, Ajay Sharma, a student of class 10 of a private school in Jaipur said that the ‘fake’ circular had put him in a state of confusion as he could not do well in the term 1 exams due to his illness. He also added that after reading the circular, it was very difficult situation for him and he remained too stressed till the board had released the clarification.

Term-II to begin from April 26

The term II exams of class 10 and class 12 are scheduled to begin from April 26. The report regarding the ‘fake’ status of the circular has proved to be a big breather for the students as they were reportedly over stressed and tense about their performance in the term 2 examinations.
