In the top stories today, the unique ID issuer UIDAI has refuted all the claims that the Aadhaar database has been hit by security loophole and stated that the biometric data and details of 1 billion Indians is completely safe and under strong guards. The UIDAI has also threatened that it could initiate action against the news media firm that has publicized fake news that the Aadhaar data has a security lapse and could be breached.

In a reply before the court, the UIDAI CEO has reportedly said that it needs Universe’s strength to break in the database of Aadhaar and it is highly encrypted and is completely safe.

Notably, for the past few days there have been reports suggesting that the Aadhaar database has a security lapse and it could be breached exposing the identity and biometric data of millions of Indians. UIDAI has now made it clear that the database is completely safe and there is ‘Universe’s strength’ needed to break into the database.
