Mahindra Marazzo | Mahindra MUV | 7 & 8 Seater

Mahindra & Mahindra launched Marazzo MUV with introductory price starting at Rs9.99 lakh going up to Rs13.90 lakh for the top-spec M8 trim. The MPV is available in seven- and eight seat configurations, four trims (M2 to M8) and a single diesel-manual combination. (All prices, ex-showroom, pan-India) The Mahindra Marazzo mileage is about 17.6 kmpl. Mahindra has invested $200 million to develop the vehicle, which would compete with the Toyota Innova and Tata Hexa.

Marazzo Petrol Version Launch in 2020 After Roll-out of BS-VI Norms

The new Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that makes 121hp and develops a peak torque of 300 Nm. The engine only comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and right now, there is no automatic transmission on offer. Mahindra is also working on the petrol engine and reportedly, the automatic and petrol variants of Marazzo will be introduced after the roll-out of BS-VI norms in 2020.

The Marazzo Design

Mahindra Design Studio and the Italian design house, Pininfarina have designed the Mahindra MUV

The Marazzo’s design has been developed from scratch by Mahindra in association with Pininfarina in Italy. The design influences of the Marazzo car can be attributed to the Shark – the grille, taillight and the shark fin antenna resembling the sea creature. It is also important to consider that this the largest footprint on any Mahindra model to date. The Marazzo comes with double barrel projector headlamps with cornering, LED fog lamps, LED daytime running lights and diamond cut 17-inch alloy wheels.

Marazzo Available in 7 and 8-Seater Variants

The Marazzo car comes in 7 and 8-seater layouts – the 7-seat variant features captain seats in the middle row while the 8-seat variant comes with 40:20:40 split bench seats. The cabin features a dual-tone black and white dashboard, multi-function steering wheel, dual-pod instrument cluster, aircraft style handbrake, glossy centre panel and LED accentuated speed-dials.
