The Dalit activists have called Maharashtra Bandh on Wednesday in order to stage protest on the Koregaon Bhima Pune violence. Due to the bandh, normal life in Maharashtra was hit badly. There are reports that violence still continues in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the bandh and the Dalit activism has reached the Parliament and the issue was raised in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Due to the bandh and road blocks, normal life was hit in Mumbai, Pune and Thane. There are reports that some Mumbai locals have resumed operation after 3 pm.

Update : The proceedings of the Rajya Sabha was also affected due to the Koregaon Bhima violence issue and it was adjourned for third time during the day on Wednesday till 3PM
