It’s clear that battle between tech giant Apple and Google is not hidden. From the beginning of the smartphone, both of them are competing against each other and now even in the self-driving car. One benefit of this battle is common masses like us, who are gaining from price to features.

Apple who keeps its work secret hinted us by filing a patent for the self-driving car’s application.  In particular, it addresses how vehicles can learn changes to routes as environments change due to construction, weather, and other factors.This shows us that they are moving rapidly towards automobile’s space. In this patent, the navigation system as in iOs CarPlay might look different and more informative. In another report, which says Apple is secretly working on the electric car called ‘Titan’ that might unveil in 2020. But Apple denies all such reports and as we are aware of the strictness of the apple towards there staff, we may only hope for one.

“We’re focusing on autonomous systems,” Cook said in the June interview. “It’s a core technology that we view as very important.”

He later added: “We sort of see it as the mother of all AI projects. It’s probably one of the most difficult AI projects actually to work on.”

But Apple is likely behind rivals when it comes to self-driving cars. Google has been working on the problem for the better part of a decade and created its own self-driving car company, Waymo, last year.
