WhatsApp Messenger owned by Facebook reportedly faced a worldwide disruption where many users were not able to send or receive messages on Tuesday night.
This is the second time this year. First was on the New Year when Whatsapp stopped working probably due to heavy flow of messages and heavy usage.
This clearly indicated as how dependent we are on this messaging app. It is learnt that nowadays people as well as businesses use Whatsapp worldwide as their basic platform to connect, interact with new and existing customers.

1.5 Billion WhatsApp Users Affected Worldwide
Total users of WhatsApp are around 1.5 billion users. The application stopped working around 11.30 pm IST on Tuesday which was also confirmed by outage tracker down detector.
iPhone, Android Users Worst Affected
The disconnection was faced on various platforms that included iPhone and Android where some users reportedly could not even log in to Whatsapp.
App Down 1 Day After New Forward Msg Limit
This happened after a day when the messaging app restricted the number of times you can forward a message. The forwarding limit has been reduced to five users from 20 people or groups in order to fight “misinformation and rumours”.
