The police arrested the mastermind of 2008 Gujarat blasts finally after a long search. The accused Abdul Subhan Qureshi has been behind the Gujarat blasts in 2008 that had ripped the state.

Qureshi has been on the run for more than 10 years and the police and security agencies were after him desperately but he had evaded arrest on many earlier occasion, sources said. The accused belongs to terrorist group SIMI-IM and has been the mastermind behind the blasts in Gujarat in 2008.

Accused Quershi has also been referred to as the Bin Laden in India as he had planned the blasts so well in Gujarat that even security agencies had no clue about it. The Indian Mujahideen Terrorist IM terrorist Qureshi would be sent to jail and would await pronouncement of sentence

The most wanted Terrorist Abdul Subhan Qureshi is also known as Tauqeer has been arrested just 4 days before the Republic Day and the arrest has been seen as a major breakthrough by the Delhi special cell. The accused is also reportedly the founder of Indian Mujahideen in India and has been bind the Bangalore, Ahmedabad & Delhi bombings. Sources said that he is also a prime suspect in the 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings. Abdul Subhan Qureshi was also on NIA’s most wanted list.
