PM Modi’s visit to UAE: PM Modi laid the foundation of the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, five agreements were also signed between two countries
PM Modi in UAE: After laying foundation of the temple, slogan of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ was loudly raised in his welcome by the Indians at the opera house. The entire opera house echoed with the voices of these slogans.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the UAE at the third phase of the four-nation tour. He addressed the Indian community at Dubai Opera House on Sunday. Prior to his address, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the first Hindu temple, Bokhansvasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sansthan (BAPS) in Abu Dhabi, and thanked HH Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on behalf of 125 crore Indians for this grand temple. They laid the foundation stone of Abu Dhabi temple through video conferencing from Dubai Opera House. After laying the foundation of the temple, when Modi started addressing the Indians at the opera house, the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ was raised in his welcome. The entire opera house echoed with the voices of these slogans.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked the Gulf countries and said that he was given a home-like atmosphere here. He also thanked Gulf countries as he got 30 lakh Indians together there and he felt as if had his house there too. PM Modi also said that the temple is the medium of humanity and it will a be modern temple build for letting the world experience ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
Notably, PM Modi is currently on a four-nation tour as he arrived in UAE on Saturday evening. Here he met HH Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Prince of Abu Dhabi, and discussed many topics. Five agreements were also signed between the two countries. It includes the agreement to give a 10% stake in the offshore oil facility to a company led by Indian Oil. The Prime Minister arrived here from Jordan in the second phase of the three countries’ trip. At the airport, the princes of Abu Dhabi and other members of the royal family welcomed him.
