Veteran Actor and Director Rakesh Roshan has been diagnosed with throat cancer of early stage. His Son Hrithik Roshan shared on Instagram that his father will be going through surgery for the same.

Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldnt miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. .

Hrithik Roshan stated that Roshan Sr is diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat few weeks before but still he is in his full spirits as he goes ahead to fight it.

Rakesh Roshan has been known for directing movies like Karan Arjun, Khoon Bhari Maang, Koi.. Mil Gaya, Kaho Naa…Pyar Hai among others. He is well known for acting in films like Khel Khel Mein, Khoobsurat and others.
