Over thirty five thousand farmers have reportedly reached the financial capital of India Mumbai in Maharashtra on Sunday afternoon in order to press for their demands including waiver of loans and higher purchase price for their produce. The peasants have reached the Thane area in Mumbai.

Notably, the Mumbai police have also reportedly issued advisory as so many farmers have reached Mumbai suddenly. It is said that the police are keeping a close eye on the situation and have made all the preparations to meet any untoward incident. The Mumbai traffic police have also advised people of Mumbai to check the route and have also announced various diversions for the commuters.




Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government have assured farmers that they are ready to accept 90 per cent of their demands. The farmers would be protesting outside the state Assembly on Monday.
