About Mission Moon
#Chandrayaan2 is #India’s second #lunar exploration mission. Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (#ISRO), the mission is to be launched to the Moon & the main scientific objective is to map the location and abundance of lunar water.
The average distance of Moon from Earth is 3, 84, 000 km, Vikram lander will land on Moon on the 48th day of the mission, which begins today.

Sep 07, 2019: Chandrayaan 2 – Update
This is Mission Control Centre. Vikram Lander descent was as planned and normal performance was observed upto an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently communication from lander to the ground stations was lost. Data is being analyzed. —- Thus, it is likely that it is not an entire mission failure.
