If your child has a habit of using too much toothpaste while brushing teeth, then you need to stop him/her. According to a latest study, young children who use excess Toothpaste are at a more risk of ‘dental fluorosis’ when they get older.
Tooth Problems Due to Fluorosis
What Exactly is Fluorosis and How It Affects Children?
Fluorosis is a condition that affects your teeth when they are highly exposed to fluoride during the initial eight years of life. Researchers discovered around 70 years ago that human beings whose drinking water had more fluoride naturally also had some cavities. This results in addition of fluoride to toothpaste, mouthwash and few other products. The study revealed that when teeth are in the development stage, excess fluoride can result in dental fluorosis or tooth sportiness.
