Christmas Eve is worst day of the year for heart attacks with a risk rising around 40 percent, according to a new study out of Sweden. Particularly, the study shows that most of the heart attacks take place at around 10 of that night.

The study analyzed 283,014 heart attacks at this timing which is reported to the Swedish coronary Care unit registered from the year 1998 to 2003.

The data was published in The BMJ, a peer-reviewed medical journal. In Sweden, the eve of Christmas is the important time where people celebrate the occasion together with family and drink and eat together.
