The nationwide research comparing over 12,000 Swedish children who had taken obesity treatment with more than 60,000 matched controls suggested that girls with obesity were 43% more probable to grown anxiety or depression compared to their counterparts in the general population. Likewise, boys with obesity faced a 33% more risk for anxiety and depression in comparison to their peers.
