About the Biopic

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a biopic of the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha reddy. The movie is a period film produced by Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela production company and the direction is by Surender Reddy.

Nayanthara With Chiranjeevi

The film’s leading roles are played by Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara. Nayanthara has been paired next to Chiranjeevi for the first time. Other supporting actors are Tamannah Bhatia, Pragya Jaiswal, Vijay Sethupathi, Sudeep.

Title revealed on Chiranjeevi’s birthday

The regular shooting of the movie film started on 6th Dec 17 in Hyderabad. Last year, the motion poster and the movie’s title was revealed on 22nd August, 2017 on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday.

The movie’s producer Ram Charan announced on 26th June 17 that the filming would begin in August 2017. A.R Rahman was signed as the music composer and Ravi Barman as the Cinematographer in the beginning, but both of them later quit the movie because of the date issues. Rajeevan was taken as the Production Designer.

Chiranjeevi as Narasimha Reddy

Chiranjeevi is portraying the character of Narasimha Reddy while Vijay Sethupathi as his trusted aide.

Amitabh Bachchan As Guru

The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan where he is reportedly playing an important character in the movie and as per the speculations, he is playing the role of Narasimha Reddy’s mentor and Guru.

About the film, it depicts more than the life of Narasimha Reddy and puts focus on aspects that resonate with the plight of Indians in the hands of the British. The movie is expected to released early next year.
