It was a momentous occasion for people of Jhunjhunu to watch PM Modi speak live on Thursday. And the PM also echoed people’s sentiments by making a statement that people of Jhunjhunu never bow down before anything, be it war or famine. The PM also said that Jhunjhunu endeavours and that is why the programmes have been launched from the district to recognise Jhunjhunu’s exceptional abilities.
On hearing these words, the crowd that has been eagerly waiting to have a glimpse of their Charismatic PM had all praise for the PM as they cheered him by raising their hands in confirmation to what PM feels about them and extending their whole-hearted support to the PM’s observation and what the PM said during the speech in Jhunjhunu.
Notably, the PM has been in Jhunjhunu as part of taking union Government’s initiative to save and educate the girl child to another level and the Prime Minister inaugurated the pan-India expansion of BetiBachaoBetiPadhao program, BBBP up from the existing 161 districts to 640 districts all over the country.
At another event the Prime Minister interacted with beneficiary mothers and girl children of the program. He also distributed certificates to best performing districts under BetiBachaoBetiPadhao program.
In another landmark initiative, he also launched National Nutrition Mission, NNM nationwide from Jhunjhunu. He launched NNM- ICDS Common Application Software. The mission strives to reduce under-nutrition and low birth weight, bring down anaemia among young children, women and adolescent girls and to reduce the prevalence of stunting among children.
In her speech, chief minister thanked the PM and said that Jhunjhunu has done exceptional work in Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and child nutrition programmes.

Collectors of five districts of Rajasthan including Baran were also present at the event as part of interaction and briefing on the measures to improve child nutrition and child care.
At the programme in Jhunjhunu today, we also marked the expansion of the #BetiBachaoBetiPadhao movement to 640 districts across India. This will give wings to the aspirations of lakhs of young girls. We are fully aware of how girls are distinguishing themselves in various fields.
