Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has said that the Vidhan Sabha is the best school for legislators, where they learn from all kinds of rules and legislative work. She said that the public elects an MLA as his representative and the legislators should conform to the public’s expectations.

Raje was addressing the best legislator’s honor ceremony held in the Assembly on Tuesday. Congratulating the honored MLAs, she said that just as these MLAs have discharged parliamentary traditions, they are inspiration for all.



The Chief Minister also said that there are two wheels of democracy in the ruling party and the counterparty house. Therefore, our behavior should be equally simple and smooth with the ruling party and the opposition fellow legislators. She said that various members of the House have been selected as the best legislator after rising above the sentiments of the parties.

Raje further said that the former Assembly Speaker Shanti Lal Chaplot, who has received the honor of the best legislator, has always upped the dignity and decency of the post as Speaker of the Assembly. Similarly, Bharat Singh has made special recognition due to his sincerity and unblemished image.

The Chief Minister also said that Rajendra Rathore, who has an elaborate knowledge of the constitution, procedure rules and parliamentary traditions, has played an important role in the smooth conduct of the assembly. At the same time, the Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria has given high dimensions to parliamentary traditions. She said that young MLAs should take inspiration from Kataria.

Raje said that Amra Ram always remains ahead to protect the interests of farmers and the deprived sections of the society. Senior legislator Suryakanta Vyas has also effectively raised the issues of eradication of social evils and women uplift in the House. Describing Rao Rajendra Singh as an expert on parliamentary subjects, the Chief Minister said that Singh has strengthened parliamentary traditions by giving several important arrangements in the form of presiding officer.

The Chief Minister said that Manikchand Surana has deep knowledge of financial matters. Regarding Jogaram Patel, Raje said that he has made an identity as an effective speaker in the House and has practiced rules and traditions of the House. She said, Govind Singh debates well in the house and effectively talks about it.

Raje has said that Brijendra Singh Ola is a patient and conscientious person who gives voice to common man’s problems. Describing Abhishek Matoria as a resounding speaker, she said that Matoria is always aware of the problems of the youth.
