It was after the opposition by the members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) over the demand for a special package for Andhra Pradesh regarding the scandals related to Punjab National Bank (PNAB) that the Lok Sabha Budget session could not continue on Monday. It was only a few minutes after the Lok Sabha proceedings began on Monday that it had to be initially postponed till 12 o’clock. But due to the intermittent opposition by the members, the proceedings of the house were adjourned for the day.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan started the question hour on Monday and with it began the ruckus by the Opposition members in the House. Congress and Tranmool Congress members raised slogans against the PNB scam. Many members of Congress also tried to approach near Speaker’s Chair and began sloganeering.
Congress and Trinamool members raised slogans ‘Where is Neerav Modi?’ Meanwhile, TDP members also shouted slogans to implement Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act and also demanded for special package, reaching the chair of the Speaker. They also took plaque in their hands. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) members also placed demand on the issue of reservations in the state, and reached the well near the Lok Sabha Speaker.
