Ariz Khan, one of the most dreaded terrorists of the Indian Mujahideen and suspect in the Gujarat, UP and Delhi blasts was on the run since 2008. The arrest of the accused IM terrorist from Indo-Nepal border is considered to be a great achievement of the Delhi Police. He has been sent to police custody by the Delhi court.

Ariz Khan was on run since 2008. Delhi police arrests him from Indo-Nepal Border

Delhi Police has arrested Ariz Khan, the terrorist who had managed to escape from Batla House encounter in 2008. Delhi Police special cell arrested Khan who is most-wanted Indian Mujahideen terrorist on Tuesday evening.

The Indian Mujahideen Terrorist Ariz Khan is wanted for 4 bombings. The terrorist was at Batla House, along with four others in 2008 and was able to escape during the encounter with Delhi Police.

The Batla House encounter or Operation Batla House was carried out by Delhi Police on 19 September 2008 in order to track and arrest Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists in Batla House locality situated in the Jamia Nagar in the national capital. There were two two dreaded terrorists, Atif Amin and Mohamed Sajid also present at the Batal House and they were killed in the exchange of fire between terrorist and the police. Two other suspects Mohd Saif and Zeeshan were also there at the Batla House.




Ariz Khan, the Indian Mujahideen terrorist’s arrest is the most important achievement for Delhi police as he was on the run since 2008. He was arrested from the Indo-Nepal border.

It is said that he was with the Azamgarh (Sanjarmur) module of the IM and was operating from his base in Nepal. It is also learnt that he was teaching at a school in order to fake his identity and hide from the security agencies. He is the terrorist who has been behind serial blasts in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi but he managed to evade arrest during the Batla House encounter and managed to flee.
