NEW DELHI | Updated February 2, 2018: After the brutal killing of a student named Pradyuman in Ryan International School a few months ago in Gurgaon, a similar case has been reported in a private school in Delhi where a 16-year-old student died in suspicious circumstances.
According to reports, this incident is from Karaval Nagar of the capital, where a 9th class student Tushar died in suspicious situation in a private school named Jyoti. It is also learnt that the initial investigation and footage of CCTV cameras installed in the school have revealed that some students had beaten up Tushar in the toilet. He had fallen as a result of an injury during the assault and probably died due to the injuries.
Based on the footage and preliminary investigation, three students have been detained for questioning and the a case has been registered under section 304 and section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. According to sources, some students of the school had also reported that they had found Tushar lying unconsciousness state in the toilet, after which he was immediately taken to Guru Teghbahadur Aspal Hospital, where the doctors had declared him brought dead. According to sources, school students are being questioned about this.
It will be after examination by a medical board that the body of Tushar will be sent for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased student started protests on the Karwal Nagar intersection and had demanded full investigation of the matter.
