JAIPUR/NEW DELHI | Updated January 29, 2018:

In today’s budget session in Parliament, President Ramnath Kovind will address the House. After the Presidential address, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will present the country’s economic survey.

After the implantation of GST this is the first budget of the Central Government. This is also the last full budget of the Modi government before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This budget is also considered very important.

The central government will present the budget on February 1, The initial part of this entire budget session will be from January 29 to February 9. The second part will be from March 5 to April 6.

This will be the first address of President Ramnath Kovind as a part of today’s session. The President’s address is the document of the central government in which there are policies, agendas and plans for the government’s achievements of the past year and for the coming year.


This time the budget can have strong political message, because the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in 2019. This budget can focus mainly on farmers and the poor.
