JAIPUR/NEW DELHI | Update January 21, 2018:

President Kovind has approved disqualification of 20 APP MLAs. Notably, the Election Commission of India had recommended disqualification of 20 MLAs of APP of the Delhi Assembly in the Office of Profit case.

As per reports, after the disqualification, one of the 20 disqualified AAP MLAs Alka Lamba has reportedly told media that it was highly unfortunate that the president of India took the decision of disqualifiying them in s haste and she also gave hint that the disqualified AAP MLAs could move court against the decision.

Meanwhile, sources also said that the Congress party has reportedly claimed that the Election Commission and ruling BJP have helped the APP party in Delhi by delaying the decision on the disqualification of it legislative members.
