2018 is one of the lowest growth years for broadband subscribers in India according to techArc, a research firm, which is basing this on data from TRAI. The research firm considered broadband data in relation to wireless broadband and fixed broadband connectivity.

44.7% increase in broadband subscribers

However, the TRAI figures showed there was an increase of 44.7% in the number of broadband subscribers in comparison to the year 2017. But still it was the lowest growth since 2014 for the gross broadband subscriber base. TRAI figures reveal that total broadband subscriber base has increased by 43.7% contributing for a total of 525 million broadband users in India.
